Santiago Trail - Burgos - Santo Domingo de Silos

We would like to propose taking a detour from the main Trail to Santo Domingo de Silos (at 45 kms to the south of Burgos)

In the first place to visit one of the most important monasteries of the Peninsula, also famous for the celebration of the mass according to the traditional liturgy and the Gregorian chants of its monks.

Santo Domingo, like the nearby Covarrubias (one of the most beautiful villages in Castilla), also offers us the most incredible landscapes, with ravines like the Yecla gorge, holly oak groves and solitary villages that we can travel on foot or by bicycle. In a traditional Castilian village we find an old guest house and a rustic hotel with modern facilities, right in front of the monastery.
