The gastronomy is also traditional of the land. The hotel and the town form the first important stop on the so called “French Trail”, at present the main route of the Trail. 
From here many excursions can be done on foot and by bicycle through the Pyrenees of Navarra, with its gently sloping green hills and mountains, and lush forests, like the Irati beechgrove.
