This is a narrow and dark (fosca) valley, due to its lush woods, but gradually broadens as we ascend and opens out into a lake zone, bordering on the “Aigües Tortes” National Park. Our hotel, simple but very welcoming, has the longest tradition in the valley.

Activities: Mountaineering, fishing, the Sellent cable-railway ( July to September), visits to picturesque villages, visits to the Capdella hydroelectric station.

Routes and Excursions

1. In the vicinity of Molinos (easy, 3h, 250m) A circular route around the nearby villages

2. The circuit to the “Estany de Montcortés), (easy, 4.5h, 250m). An excursion around one of the few natural lakes in the Pre-Pyrenees.

3. A circular route through the Vall de Filià (intermediate difficulty, 5.5h, 550m). An itinerary through a beautiful natural reserve.

4. Ascent to the refuge La Colomina (difficult, 6h, 800m). We visit a typical lake zone of the Aiguës Tortes National Park and the Estany de Sant Maurici.

5. Ascent of the Montseny de Pallars (difficult, 6h, 1,200m). A technically easy but long climb of a perfectly pyramid shaped mountain.
