We explore the most important high mountain lake zone of the Pyrenees and the whole of Europe, including the “Aigües Tortes” National Park, that protects a zone of more than 200 lakes, until it reaches the canyons, reservoirs and gorges of the Pre-Pyrenees.

We walk from hotel to hotel with the option (in some cases) of shortening the route with support cars. Baggage transport is taken care of by our hotels. For this reason, this route can easily be carried out without a guide.

Day 1: From Tavascan (Hotel Llacs de Cardós/Estanys Blaus) to València d’Àneu (hotel La Morera) by Estaon.

Day 2: From València d’Àneu to Espot (Hotel Roya) by the village of Son.

Day 3: From Espot to Los Molinos (Hotel Vall Fosca) through the Aigües Tortes National Park (Port de Monastero or Saburó).

Day 4: From Los Molinos (Hotel Vall Fosca) to La Pobla de Segur and Cellers (Hotel Terradets) by the Estany de Moncortés.

Day 5: A short excursion to the “Barranc del Bosc” and we return to Tavascan by taxi.

An unguided route of 5 days duration (minimum 2 persons):

4 daily itineraries of 5-7 hours (average ascent 600-800m/2,340-3,120 ft) + one of 3 hours.
